Productivity with Dell

In this modern era, where the business landscape is rapidly evolving, companies need to adapt to new paradigms, especially with the shift toward permanent hybrid work models. As we navigate beyond the pandemic, 74 percent of U.S. companies are embracing a hybrid work approach. Whether your goal is to foster teamwork within a revamped office space or maintain an engaged and informed remote workforce, technology is at the forefront of your efforts. Employees should not be hindered by outdated devices that slow them down during routine tasks or when using resource-intensive applications. Instead, their devices should be designed to enhance productivity with minimal disruptions to their workflow.

In a comprehensive study, we compared the performance and security of Dell's latest devices, including the Dell Latitude 7430 laptop and the Dell OptiPlex 7400 all-in-one (AIO) desktop. These devices come preloaded with Windows 11 Pro and Microsoft security features, including Virtualization-Based Security (VBS), which sets them apart from their two-year-old counterparts running Windows 10 Pro.

The results were clear; the newer devices outperformed their predecessors across a range of productivity and content creation benchmark tests. Notably, the Dell Latitude 7430 and OptiPlex 7400 PCs running Windows 11 Pro with Microsoft security features enabled exhibited significantly better performance than their Windows 10 Pro predecessors. This makes them ideal choices for organizations looking to enhance employee productivity and the hybrid work experience without compromising security.

Here are some of the key performance improvements:

Microsoft 365 Productivity: With up to 46.3% higher scores on the Procyon Office Productivity Benchmark, these devices excel at handling everyday tasks and improving the efficiency of Microsoft 365 tools.

Temperature Control: Under sustained workloads, these devices maintained comparable or even cooler surface temperatures, with the Dell Latitude 7430 running up to 4.2°F cooler during a Cinebench R23 workload.

System Memory Protection: The new devices delivered up to 3.2 times higher scores on 3DMark Time Spy, showcasing their ability to protect system memory without compromising performance.

In this comparative study, we assessed these devices in two phases:

Phase 1 - Benefits of Newer Hardware:

We compared the Dell Latitude 7430 and OptiPlex 7400 PCs running Windows 10 Pro with Microsoft security features enabled against their two-year-old counterparts running Windows 10 Pro. Through industry-standard benchmarks and thermal testing, we found that the newer devices outperformed in all aspects.

Phase 2 - Benefits of Windows 11 Pro with Microsoft Security Features:

Here, we evaluated the impact of Windows 11 Pro, combined with Microsoft security features, on newer devices. Comparing them to their Windows 10 Pro counterparts, we found that the Windows 11 Pro devices exhibited superior performance across the board, with no compromise in security.

Conclusion:

As businesses adapt to the changing landscape with a significant shift towards hybrid work models, investing in modern technology is crucial. Our study of Dell's latest devices, equipped with Windows 11 Pro and Microsoft security features, highlights their superior performance and enhanced productivity compared to their older counterparts running Windows 10 Pro.

The results of our study indicate that these devices outshine their predecessors in various aspects, including Microsoft 365 productivity, temperature control, and system memory protection. This makes them an excellent choice for organizations aiming to improve employee productivity and the hybrid work experience while maintaining robust security.
