There are still some Barnes & Noble Nook e-readers in circulation. Pre-orders for the new Nook GlowLight 4e are now available for at $119.99. Compared to Amazon's cheapest Kindle, it's $30 more expensive, but $20 less expensive than Amazon's wildly popular Paperwhite. While there are no adverts, you may simply sideload material, unlike Amazon's items.

Features of The New e-Reader
This e-reader includes 8GB of storage, which is usual for a device in this price range. Additionally, the 6-inch E Ink display has lighting. Compared to the Amazon Kindle's $89.99 price tag, the Kobo Nia costs $99.99 and has the same 6-inch 167 ppi display. Kobo's Clara HD sports a 300 PPI display and costs the same as the GlowLight 4e. At this price point, the Kobo Clara HD is your best pick if you're looking for crisp text.
Amazon and Kobo don't have buttons, but the Nook GlowLight 4e has them! Page-turning buttons on the left and right bezels of the Nook GlowLight 4e eliminate the need to touch or swipe across an E Ink display in order to turn a page. Amazon and Kobo both limit that functionality to more expensive items.
The Hardware of The New e-Reader
On the hardware front, Barnes & Noble has been lagging behind the likes of Apple and Google. If you're looking for the most affordable option, Kobo has you covered, while Amazon has been willing to keep its prices low (apart from the excellent, if expensive, Kindle Oasis). Barnes & Noble, on the other hand, now offers two e-readers, the $119.99 GlowLight 4 and the $149.99 GlowLight 4, both of which were debuted in December. CEO James Daunt indicated at the time that B&N was "substantially investing" in the Nook line.
It's fantastic to see Barnes & Noble finally compete in a field that has been excessively static in the United States, despite the fact that these gadgets are very ordinary. There are a wide variety of e-readers to choose from when you shop across the world. Maybe one day it will happen here, too.
Pre-orders for the Nook GlowLight 4e may be placed starting today, with deliveries beginning on June 7th.
