Cognism Raised Funds To Grow in EU & USA

Cognism, a B2B sales, and marketing lead generating platform provider located in London has secured $87.5 million (£64 million) in venture capital financing. The Series C round was led by new investor Viking Global Investors, with participation from other new investors Blue Cloud Ventures, and follow-on investors AXA Venture Partners, Swisscom Ventures, and Volution. The Need For Funds

Cognism intends to utilize the funds to accelerate its growth throughout Europe and boost its position in the United States of America. The firm intends to achieve this expansion via a mix of organic growth and acquisitions in the near future.

It comes on the heels of Cognism's $12 million investment round in 2020 and $12.5 million funding round in 2021.

The firm, which was founded in 2015, offers sales teams tools for gathering data on sales prospects. It claims that its software complies with data protection standards such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which was implemented in Europe in May 2018.

Plans For The Future

In 2021, the business will build a US office in Boston, which will be overseen by Mark Bedard, the company's new vice president of sales, who formerly worked at ZoomInfo. Moreover, the company declared the appointment of industry veteran Phil Garlick to its board of directors.

In 2021, Cognism claims that its solution will have assisted over 1,000 clients in more than 40 countries in accessing compliant contact and contextual data. Additionally, Diamond Data, which delivers phone-verified contacts for business development teams throughout the world, was launched in the year under consideration.
