ADVANCE employed a variety of cloud-native data storage and management technologies on Alibaba Cloud to manage its data warehouse and data analytics operations for its artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithm. This was an integral element of the company's primary business.

Historical Context and Current Obstacles

A leading competitor in the Southeast Asian (SEA) sector, particularly in Indonesia, Advance Intelligence Group (ADVANCE) is a technology business in Asia-Pacific that is powered by artificial intelligence (AI). ADVANCE has created an ecosystem of AI-powered, credit-enabled products and services covering the industries of banking, fintech, retail, and e-commerce, to assist businesses with digital transformation, preventing fraud, and automating processes. This was done with the vision of assisting businesses with these tasks.

The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have dramatically affected our way of life and the things we do daily, both of which have significantly shifted as a result.

ADVANCE recognized the significant potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to facilitate the transition of conventional and offline organizations to digital platforms and online channels, enhancing operational effectiveness, growth, and overall productivity.

On the other hand, a more complicated AI algorithm necessitates an increase in the amount of processing power available and the size of the data sets that are analyzed and employed for machine learning. A trusted and competent partner was required by ADVANCE to construct a giant-scale computer cluster and data warehousing platform that had high levels of performance, availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Computation Cluster Operating at Huge Scale and Platform for Data Warehousing

In addition to being well-known across the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the globe for its technical innovation, Alibaba Cloud is particularly well-known in the data storage middleware, big data processing, and artificial intelligence industries.

ADVANCE deployed its core application by utilizing a containerization framework known as Kubernetes. This was done in conjunction with Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure-as-a-service, which included clusters of Elastic Compute Service (ECS) and Server Load Balancer (SLB).

The result was the construction of systems that were more scalable and more cost-effective. In addition to that, it made use of Alibaba Cloud CDN, an Anti-DDoS service, and a Web Application Firewall (WAF) in order to speed up access to the application front, secure the system from harmful end-user requests, and reduce the likelihood of potential risks.

ADVANCE employed a variety of cloud-native data storage and management technologies on Alibaba Cloud to manage its data warehouse and data analytics operations for its artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithm. This was an integral element of the company's primary business. For instance, the Group utilized ApsaraDB for Redis for in-memory caching and high-speed access; ApsaraDB for MongoDB for flexible and semi-structured data storage; DataWorks for data aggregation, processing, and governance between a variety of data sources; and Realtime Compute for Apache Flink for real-time processing of large amounts of data.

The computational capacity for large-scale parallel computing modules, such as deep learning, video processing, and visualization, was provided by ADVANCE by using Alibaba Cloud Elastic GPU Service. In addition, ADVANCE used the Log Service and the Object Storage Service (OSS) to gather, retrieve, and analyze massive volumes of system logs and operation transactions in a safe and effective manner while simultaneously optimizing costs.
